Reflecting on 2021, Certik audit, SaitaSafe preview and SaitaMask desktop
2021 is just the beginning for the WolfPack
What a journey it has been for the crypto investor and the Saitama wolfpack as whole. We had the early highs of 2021 as we saw ourselves propelling upwards no matter what, during February.
We then experienced one of the worst market dumps to date in about May. Then in around June, Saitama began to establish itself. For the early months of it’s existence, not many batted an eye towards it. Many doubted the community and the project. But the developers held strong.
I eventually became an investor in the pack earlier on, but to be honest, the first few weeks after it’s launch, I wasn’t too interested in the project. I chose to invest a little at that time, and saw the consistency that we still see now with the project. I wanted to contribute somehow, so I began writing as I often enjoy literature. Many of the wolfpack members wanted to contribute somehow. For someone like Mr. Grapes for example, it was to contribute by creating art and logos for the community. We all used our strengths in growing the community one way or another.
Perhaps for me, the most intriguing moment was seeing the Reddit go from 500 members to 30,000. When I was granted access to manage and edit the official reddit community, to be quite frank, I didn’t think we could grow that much. But time and time again, Saitama seems to just step on any doubts people have about it. It’s truly remarkable seeing the community there, on discord and on Twitter growing. People every few seconds contributing, negative or not, it’s a sign of how much we have grown.
Now with the Certik audit finally done on Christmas, to me it feels like Saitama is yet to begin it’s true journey. What we witnessed until now was merely a precursor to what the future holds. We are still waiting on major exchanges to begin listing us. On top of that, SaitaMask launch is right around the corner. And as Rus has reiterated, our goal is to have our own exchange, listing safe and trustable projects.
Certik audit is finally complete
The long awaited audit by Certik was finally completed on Christmas. The community was counting every single percentage, frequently refreshing the page. Truth be told, it has been a stressful period for the development team as they wanted the pack to have access to SaitaMask as soon as possible but also maintain a high degree of security within SaitaMask.
As of yet, the SaitaMask app is live in it’s BETA format. Several iOS users spotted the app on the Apple Store, initialy people were skeptical and thought it was another scam, but later on, the developer of SaitaMask, Max, confirmed in a tweet that yes, in fact that is the official SaitaMask app, however, it is still in it’s testing format.
Likely what occurred was that Apple ended up listing the Beta version before the planned official launch. Either way, this is great news because now updating the app is a lot more simple and the tedious process of having an app on the Apple store is over.
Please note: Since Max confirmed the current SaitaMask is a testing version, do not send any tokens to it as of yet as you may lose them. Feel free to test the app, but don’t fully commit to any of it’s features until the official launch is announced.
SaitaSafe already in the works
To silence any of the doubters again, we got to see a photo of the coding being undergone for SaitaSafe. If you didn’t know, SaitaSafe was announced at the Vegas Event as one of the next projects for Saitama. Essentially SaitaSafe would be a revolutionary physical wallet for storing your crypto. What would set it apart was it’s obvious intergrating within the Saitama ecosystem, but also, the ability to use the touchscreen to view NFTs.
There is no fixed date on SaitaSafe yet, but it’s presumed we could see a fully developed version early 2022. This is truly a huge undertaking by the team, as many projects will create their own wallets and apps, but very, very few of them create physical cold storage wallets. The hard work being put behind it will surely be realized by investors soon.
SaitaMask desktop version
One of the goals of the development team for Saitama when creating SaitaMask was to make it as universal as possible. This means the team wants to have SaitaMask accessible not just on mobile devices, but desktop browsers alike.
Recently, Max, the lead developer of SaitaMask also released some previews of the desktop version.
It looks great, and it’s possible that desktop version will feature more advanced options such as minting NFTs. The desktop version should also run within a wallet’s browser, for example MetaMask’s browser.
As for me, I think I’m going to call 2021 a wrap. I’d like to thank you, the reader, for your continued support by simply retweeting and sharing. It has been a wild ride so far, but Saitama will excel even further from next year. For 2022, I have thought of ways to contribute more to the community. One way that has peaked my interested is podcasts. I think once the dust settles down from how busy the team are, it would be nice to interview someone like Gabe about Wolfcaster or Max about SaitaMask and SaitaSafe.
Take care, and see you in 2022.
