As we await more updates to SaitaMask’s swap and big news afterwards, I’ve decided to spend some time researching some of the current and future projects making an appearance on SaitaMask. I think as a community, it’s important we all support each other as we’re all part of the crypto space as a whole, and genuine good projects deserve some attention. And if LuckyRoo gathers considerable interest, I would also like to interview their developers!
What is LuckyRoo?
A heavily underrated, upcoming project (in my opinion), is LuckyRoo. Founded by two Australians, Des and Deane, who have also doxxed themselves, have extensive experience in real world trading and finance. LuckyRoo is quite unique in its goal, aiming to be a “gambling” crypto project that is intentionally built to be responsible and not actually result in risk. Directly competing with the traditional gambling industry. This is because where the project originates, (Australia), the gambling industry has functioned much like the traditional fiat system and caused a lot of gambling addiction and issues for Australians. In short, the gambling traditional system is designed for you to lose. LuckyRoo was to change that and make it fair.
The longer goal is to grow the project, attract holders but also encourage them to stay due to the unique and fun tokenomics of weekly draws that are generated by the contract. Not requiring someone to invest more in order to have better odds.
When it comes to rewarding holders, firstly, the holders, through the traditional sense of burn and distribution receive Roo tokens, but in a more clever and innovative way, to reward those who hold at least $500 USD worth of LuckyRoo token by involving them into a weekly draw in order to win more tokens. The selection will be made randomly by the contract without human involvement. Self described as “gambling”, I think it’s a more reasonable and harmless yet fun way to “gamble” in the crypto space, all while the project has a strong dedicated team behind it.
What I specifically like about it, is that LuckyRoo has no catch. There are many “gambling” projects out there who’s developers still hide away and have weird requirements of buying crypto every week, “the more you buy in 24 hours the higher chance…” sort of deal and not even having a computer generate a winner. LuckyRoo aims to project proper fairness in how they wish to change the gambling industry of crypto. And I think because of their honesty and ‘outside of the box’ thinking, this project is promising.
It’s not just a meme token
As stated in the white paper “LuckyRoo is not a MEME token”. The team behind it have laid a very structured roadmap. The first steps, (interestingly), before the fair launch itself, is to have 2 seperate audits. The first being a BrewLabs audit and then followed by a Certik audit. (These are currently ongoing now). Afterwards, the developers plan a fair launch. This means no one will be able to buy until the project launches, and they take it very seriously.
Afterwards, the long term goal of LuckyRoo is building a gambling platform similar to the popular uprising in crypto gaming, but a platform that has a more visual appearance, where AI/contract tokenomics can create a way for users to gamble their LuckyRoo but also other cryptos.
When does it launch?
Right now, the word from the team is an ETA of mid to late February. The reasoning for the uncertainty of an exact date is due to the Certik audit. While it’s expected to be brief, Certik does have a lot of projects on their plate.
How will it launch?
The project as stated before, will be a fair launch project where no one else can buy in earlier. The project will also limit the ETH purchasable at the start. This is to prevent huge buys by whales that are simply in to dump. The project is aiming to launch on UniSwap first of all, and then with time will undergo the process of a SaitaMask listing.
